Neil was awarded a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours) degree in Business Finance from the University of Cape Town in 1984. On immigrating to New Zealand from Zimbabwe in 2001, he completed the Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (endorsed in financial planning) from Massey University in May 2006 and was approved as a Certified Financial PlannerCM in October 2006. Neil is also a member of the Institute of Financial Advisers and Secretary for the local branch in Taranaki.

Neil has been involved in financial services since January 1986. He worked for various financial institutions in Zimbabwe. His experience is diverse and includes roles as an investment analyst, money market trader, Treasury manager and corporate adviser with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Harare. In New Zealand Neil initially worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in New Plymouth as a consultant and joined HamiltonSteele in New Plymouth as an adviser in January 2003. Neil joined Perpetual in July 2010.

Married to Heather, with three children, the family have adapted well to living in Taranaki, despite the rain! With farming family backgrounds they live in Lepperton, enjoying a rural lifestyle. When not busy in the garden, Neil enjoys spending time out fishing and watching his children’s sports.
