Martin has more than 20 years helping clients manage their assets. After finishing his Bachelor’s degree at Otago, Martin worked for the Insolvency & Trustee Service where he was an officer of the High Court as a Court appointed trustee. Martin has been a part of the Justice Department and later the Ministry of Economic Development dealing with bankruptcies, liquidations, prosecutions, the registrar of companies, proceeds of crime across a range of government departments.

Martin is a certified Legal Executive, and a member of the Estate and Trustees Institute of Australasia. It’s important to Martin that his knowledge and skills remain up to date and he regularly undertakes ongoing training. Martin was also in the Army where amongst other duties, he deployed to Antarctica alongside US Forces. Having dealt with a wide range of people and situations, and having travelled overseas, his collective experiences combine to enhance Martin’s standard of client service.

Martin’s experience and knowledge of all aspects of estate and trust management are valuable assets, allowing him to think outside the square and to come up with innovative solutions and tailored to meet the needs and goals of his clients. This includes identification and facilitation of other beneficial solutions including investment advice, financial planning and tax and accounting services.

Outside of work, he has two sets of twins with his wife Jan. He is very interested in historical and military matters, sport and also enjoys writing..
