Brian has worked in financial planning and investment advisory roles since 1988.
He joined Perpetual Trust in June 2001 and continues to work as a Financial
Planner as well as overseeing all Financial Advisers nationally. As well as being a
Certified Financial PlannerCM, Brian is also a qualified Legal Executive.
Brian sees his role as helping clients achieve their financial goals by growing
and protecting their capital and managing the risks to their cash flow. This is
accomplished through appropriately structuring their investment portfolio and
financial affairs. He has a special interest in working with trustees to correctly
structure investment portfolios to meet the requirements of life tenants and
residuary beneficiaries.
Brian has a Diploma in Business Studies endorsed in Personal Financial Planning
from Massey University. He maintains a continuing education programme to ensure
that he keeps up to date with the latest developments in investment and financial
markets. He is also a member for the Institute of Financial Advisers (IFA).
Away from work Brian is an active member of the community and enjoys being
involved in a variety of organisations. He is an Elder in his local Presbyterian
Church and a past president of the Canterbury Rhododendron Society. He enjoys
swimming, squash, tennis and tramping with his family.
