It’s with sadness that we mark the passing of one of our PGC family, Richard Elworthy, who died in August.
Richard was a bedrock of PGC and related companies over the last 40 years. He started with Pyne Gould Guinness in 1969 and subsequently served as Managing Director of PGC and on the boards of PGC, Perpetual and Marac. His contributions to the successes of the companies with which he was involved are too numerous to mention.
But many of us also knew Richard personally, as someone who was astute, clear in setting goals and a partner with us in achieving them. We also enjoyed his very dry sense of humour.
Although he was a hard worker, paramount to Richard was his family and the leisure activities he enjoyed with them, particularly travelling, skiing and yachting.
Richard will be missed.
