Farina Thompson Charitable Trust

The purpose of this Charitable Trust is to provide funds to registered charities. Preference is given to charities in the Canterbury Region.  All applications for funding must be made in writing and cannot be completed online.

Donations have been divided into five categories and applications close on 1 July in the specified year.

• 2010 - Cutural and Performing Arts
• 2011 - Medical services and research organisations
• 2012 - Youth Services
• 2013 - Relief of Poverty and Local Mission Work*
• 2014 - Homes, Holiday Camps & Programmes for Disadvantaged Children and/or the Disabled

* For the purpose of clarity, “mission work” means: “a charitable centre that offers shelter or aid to the destitute or underprivileged.”
